Time to breathe

Carved in the ice by TheMP on 24th of June, 2007

Finally, the semester and the 100 page artbook of doom is over. It was fun and all, just very stressful. Trying to balance conflicting views on art and life is quite painful. All the more important to find people who work the same way you do. That’s not to say different views aren’t important, because they are. It’s more of a case of differing values on work methods.

But it’s over, for the time being! Next semester we get to collaborate with the Film students on a “Community Engagement Project”. As much as I look forward to it, I also dread it. Hopefully I’ll be able to find a group that shares the same work ethic as me. Next semester also features a second dose of CGI and Scriptwriting, along with “Advanced Character Animation”. My spidey-sense is telling me that more trees are going to be sacrificed in the name of Animation.

I’ll added three finished works to my gallery from the artbook assignment. These are ones that I have deemed worthy of posting. There are other things, when I get around to it.

As everyone knows by now, my parents are arriving Wednesday and will be spending three weeks visiting me here in Australia. It shall be interesting! (No, I am not subjecting them to the horrors of Vegemite!)
